The Subaru Uncharted is a new all-electric subcompact EV. New models come available with either a 221-horsepower single-motor powertrain or a 338-horsepower dual-motor option. Brookline drivers who invest in the single motor version will enjoy up to 308 miles of fully-charged range.
The Chevy Bolt, by comparison, only offers a uniform 210-horsepower single-motor powertrain. Even with a full battery, you can also expect only up to 262 miles of driving before you need to recharge. The Chevy Bolt is also front-wheel drive only. The Subaru Uncharted offers all-wheel drive as an available upgrade.
The Subaru Uncharted comes with a standard 14-inch infotainment touchscreen, complete with wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and an available 11-speaker Harman Kardon sound. Dual wireless smartphone chargers also come standard.
The Chevy Bolt only offers a standard 11.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, paired with a suite of Google-powered infotainment apps.
Both the Subaru Uncharted and Chevy Bolt, to their credit, come equipped with a long list of standard and available safety features. These include items like standard pre-collision braking, lane-departure alerts, and adaptive cruise control in the Subaru Uncharted.
